FEMA just announced a 30-day National Engagement Period on the refreshed National Incident Management System (NIMS). This is an opportunity for interested individuals to provide comments on the changes. The Engagement Period is open to all members of the community.
NIMS exists to “provide a common approach for managing incidents.” Visit FEMA’s website to access the draft version and the feedback form. While there, register for one of the upcoming webinars FEMA is hosting to learn about the changes in the draft, find out how to share your feedback, and have your questions answered.
The National Engagement Period is open now and will continue through 5 pm ET on May 9, 2016. We encourage you to review the draft document and share your comments today!
